BP agents rescue 6-year-old abandoned by smuggler

Border Patrol agents rescued a six-year-old Costa Rican boy after he was abandoned by a smuggler on a border road Tuesday evening.

The boy was found by agents west of Lukeville, Ariz., north of the border in over 100-degree temperatures.

Agents discovered the boy was dropped off by his uncle and that Border Patrol would pick him up, adding he was heading to see his mother in the United States.

The child was found in good conditions and was transported to Tucson for processing.
