Events at the library: Week of June 18

Painting to Music:

On Tuesday, June 19th, children of all ages are invited to the Somerton Library at 10:30 a.m. to Paint to Music. Let music inspire you as you paint your masterpiece! There is no charge to attend.

Family Feud: Music Edition:

Families are invited to the Heritage Library on Wednesday, June 20th, at 1:00 p.m. for Family Feud: Music Edition! Family and friends are invited to compete in this music-themed edition of Family Feud. Teams can consist of up to 5 people; ages 8 and older welcome. There is no charge to participate; however, pre-registration highly encouraged! Stop by the library or call (928) 783-5415.

The Heritage Library is located at 350 S Third Avenue.

Rockhounding:

On Saturday, June 23rd, veteran rock-hounder Jack Vandelaar will present “Rock Hounding in Yuma County” at 2:00 p.m. at the Foothills Library. Learn where to look for rocks and gems, tips on how to identify them, and what you can make with the treasures you find in the desert! Aerial views of rock hounding sites taken by a drone will also be shown. There is no charge to attend.
