The Search for Emily Hieber

In Yuma County, the search for Emily Hieber is still continuing with her family members sharing on who she is and the last time they saw her.

Her grandparents Lynette and Larry say it’s been over five years since the last time they saw Emily in person. They described her as someone who is happy, independent and who can always make you smile. She attended Kofa High School in 2012 and left during her senior year and has not returned home. Her grandmother Lynette tells us despite the recent leads and theories on Emily’s disappearance, she still has faith that she is alive.

“The last time I saw her was February 3rd, in my kitchen, she brought her dog and we visited for a while. When she left I hugged her never realizing it would be the last time in a long time. She wanted to be ‘liked’ and because of that, I feel she was taken advantage of and used. We were never aware of the evil world until Emily disappeared, but we want to know is if she is in heaven or if she’s out there scared, afraid, hurting, that’s what we need to know, even the smallest tip-something to let us know.”

Emily was last seen in Yuma in February 2013 and has a cross tattoo across the middle of her back.

If you have any information you please call Yuma Police Department or remain anonymous by calling 78-CRIME.

The family also has a private investigator you can contact, Dave Mc Dowell (928)750-5630.
