Local police respond to call of vehicle in canal
Local police responded to a call of a car that was in a canal.
Sunday, Calexico Police Officers Association posted photos on social media of a black Chevrolet Camaro being hoisted from an irrigation canal. A man wearing a Calexico Fire Department shirt was also seen pulling a diver out from the water. A banner was shown in one of the pictures that say “Congrats 2018 Grad.”
Police stated in the caption that no injuries were reported and they were investigating to see if alcohol was a factor in the incident.
KYMA placed multiple calls to Calexico Police Department and Calexico Fire Department for more information but have not heard back.
