Local boy found unresponsive in pool

UPDATE 7:51 PM

The young boy in this incident has been confirmed by the family as two-year-old, Atticus Krizay. According to the young boy’s GoFundMe page, “no part of his brain survived.” The family later posted on their Caring Bridge page the following statement:

“We had a win for us today. We found out while Atticus is not eligible for organ donation, he is eligible for tissue donation. His eyes will provide the gift of sight and the valves of his heart will save lives of other youngsters. This was a huge win for us today. We will soon be transferring our sweet boy to “Ryan’s house” where we can take him outdoors (HUGE! Because he hates being inside). He’s done being poked and prodded and ready to relax in peace. We are humbled by the outpouring of love.
Travis & Ashley”

“Ryan’s House” is a facility that specializes in end-of-life-journeys.
