Amberly’s Place Thrift Shoppe burglarized

Amberly’s Place Thrift Shoppe in Yuma was burglarized not once, but four times in the span of one week. Yuma police recently posted these pictures of the two men they believe are the thieves. While the thrift store has fencing, that didn’t stop the burglars from jumping the fence and stealing clothes, electronics and accessories, estimated to be worth up to $1,000 dollars.

“On the 31st of May, we had three separate incidences, where they broke into our facility and stole numerous items. Also on June 4th, we had the same individuals come back and burglarize once more and take items from our facility,” said Trevor Umphress, Marketing Coordinator, Amberly’s Place.

Umphress also adds that plans have been put in place to add barbwire to the outside fencing. While it’s unclear if the two pictures are of the same person, Yuma Police Department is on the look out and encourages onlookers to report any suspicious activity around the thrift shop during closed hours. Please call their hotline at 78-crime. YPD is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 dollars to anyone that gives information that leads to an arrest.
