CBP to host Coachella Valley hiring event
U.S. Customs and Border Protection will host a CBP officer recruiting event on Friday, June 1, at the Workforce Development Center in Indio, California.
The event will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will be located at 44-199 Monroe St. Ste. B
CBP recruiters will be answering questions and will assist with completing applications. Computers will be available on site for job applicants to use.
A CBP officer’s primary responsibility is to detect and prevent terrorists, their weapons and other threats from entering the U.S. while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
The recruitment incentive pays 33 percent of an employee’s base pay (including locality) per year for three years.
A service agreement is required prior to entering on duty.
