Pet Talk: Meet Ramen and Greta

Happy belated national rescue dog day! It was Sunday and tonight, in a brand new Pet Talk we meet a sweet eight-year-old Labrador Retriever and beautiful tan and beige Siamese cat.

First up is Ramen. This eight-year-old lab mix is such a loving dog. He was surrendered by his owners for not getting along with cats. Other than that, Ramen seems to get along with just about anybody. He’s a little quirky and enjoys just hanging outside. He is older, so don’t expect Ramen to go on a three mile hike with you, but he does have a lot more energy than one would expect. Someone that has the time to take him on walks and play fetch with him would make for a perfect fit. He weighs about 55 pounds and is already neutered.

Next is the beautiful Greta. A striking Siamese cat with blue eyes. She was an owner turn in from Wellton and brought to the shelter in Yuma in April. She currently has some eye problems that the shelter is attending to at the moment, but she enjoys being held, being rubbed and exploring. She is on the smaller side as she only weighs about seven pounds and she seems to do fine with other cats. She is said to be about a year and a half.

If you are interested either Ramen or Greta, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday. Head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page for more info @MadisonKYMA.
