Local sex offender has new address
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office would like to notify the community of a level three sex offender that has moved to a new address.
YCSO said Aaron Castillo, 27, is now living in the 10500 block of S. Carney Drive in Wellton, Ariz.
He is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
On June 6 , 2014, Castillo pled guilty to two counts of Attempted Child Molestation in the Yuma County Superior Court. He was sentenced to five years in the Arizona Department of Corrections with credit for 197 days. His victim was a 12-year-old girl that was known to him. Castillo is currently under lifetime intensive probation with the Yuma County Adult Probation Department.
Castillo is considered a Level 3 sex offender with a high risk to re-offend.
Sex offenders are categorized in three levels based on the risk that they pose to the community to re-offend.
Level 1 – low risk
Level 2 – intermediate risk
Level 3 – high risk
