Éste es mi Mexico
On Wednesday, May 16th, the Somerton Library is hosting an “Éste es mi Mexico” Drawing Contest! Children ages 6-14 are invited to the library at 1:30 p.m. to draw a picture of their favorite place in Mexico and be entered to win this nationwide drawing contest. There is no charge to participate.

Stargazing
Stargazers can enjoy the cosmos at the Foothills Library! The library’s astronomy group will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17th, in the Foothills Library parking lot, 13226 E. South Frontage Road. Lawn chairs, binoculars, and telescopes welcome!
Telescopes will be provided courtesy of the Friends of the Foothills Library. There is no charge to attend.

How to Create Your Retirement Fund
On Saturday, May 19th, financial professional Amanda Gail will present “How to Create Your Retirement Fund” at 2:00 p.m. at the Foothills Library. Learn how to build a foundation for long-term wealth and how to use compounding interest to build retirement funds. Following the presentation, participants will assess current income and expenses, set future goals to determine when to retire, and how much income is needed for how long. There is no charge to attend.
