Military Matters Quest to save our warriors
We praise them for bringing the fight to those that look to destroy our way of life; but, in doing so we subject our warriors to scenes that aren’t for the light heartened. Early on, our soldiers are subject to intense physical and psychological training and many times some are pushed beyond their breaking point. The battlefield in itself will change the strongest of warriors and although the battle is done, another war ensues.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder runs rampant among many who serve and for them the battle within can prove deadly. That’s where sites like www.injuredveterans.com comes into play; sites like this offer veterans tools to get the help they need via medical, psychological and support. Along with these sites it also falls on every American to remind our warriors that they’re not alone.
But, awareness is key and that’s where two Marines with a calling decided to take to the open road and help bring awareness to this deadly disease. Will and Dustin both served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and both have had their bouts with PTSD. They decided to run from Imperial Beach in California to Virginia Beach; all the while stopping at communities and spreading awareness. On May 7, 2018 they arrived in Yuma, Ariz. There they received a heroes welcome thanks to the Yuma Fire Department; crews escorted the two men into the city.
Before arriving in Yuma, the two men stopped at a several communities like Campo and Seeley, visiting the Naval Air Facility. Now, they’ll head eastward avoiding the heat by only running during the night. They welcome everyone to follow them on instagram; all you have to search is run2x2vets to see where they’re at and how you can help the cause.
