Local school districts to reopen Friday
Local school districts are announcing the reopening of school campuses after Gov. Doug Ducey signed an education funding bill Thursday morning.
Crane School District
All Crane School District schools will be open Friday after an announcement was made Thursday evening on their Facebook page.
Due to school closures last week, Ronald Reagan Elementary School will have make-up days added to their calendar. Make-up days will be held on Friday, June 1st, and Monday, June 4th.
The district added that students’ grade promotion will not be impacted by absences and are aware the days may affect summer plans.

Gadsden Elementary School District
All Gadsden Elementary School District schools will be open on Friday, May 4th. Regular district services, extracurricular student activities, tutoring, and athletic programs will also be resuming.
Somerton School District
All Somerton School District schools will reopen on Friday, May 4th. The district is reviewing their student calendar to determine if there will be a need to extend days for students.
A board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 5:30 p.m. where a decision will be made.
Yuma School District One
Yuma School District One released a statement announcing they will reopen their schools on Friday.
The district is reviewing their school calendar to figure out if any student make-up days will be needed.
Yuma Union High School District
Yuma Union High School District schools will reopen their campuses Friday, May 4th following a statement released Wednesday.
The district said they are still calculating whether additional days will be added to the instructional calendar.
Graduation will be held on May 23rd at Vista Alternative High School and May 25th for the remaining campuses.
