AWC presents “Distinguished Visiting Writer Series”
Arizona Western College is inviting the community to the ‘Distinguished Visiting Writer Series’ on Wednesday, May 9, featuring “The Book of Duels” author Dr. Michael Garriga.
Garringa comes from a long line of notable Creole outlaws and storytellers. His book “The Book of Dules” consists of 33 short stories, each compromised of three separate dramatic monologes rendered in the final seconds before an ultimate confrontation.
Garriga will discuss his work, fiction and craft from 1:40 to 2:55 p.m. in room BA 111 of the AWC Yuma campus and will also give a public reading of his work at 6:30 p.m. at the AWC Theater.
Both events are free and open to the public.
