12th Annual Jazz Series comes to a close
It’s a rhythm unlike any other, a mixture of all music wrapped in a cocoon of brass, strings and drums. For more than a decade Steven Hennig a local trumpet player has brought an ensemble of groups from all corners to delight music lovers of all ages. Winter visitors and locals alike flock to the village area at the Yuma Palms Regional Center and enjoy not only the eateries but a taste of an ageless sound.
What can only be described as “moving” has music lovers anticipating the next Jazz Series and it’s all made possible thanks to the devotion of the Yuma Palms parent-company the Inland Group. But, their generosity doesn’t stop at giving these talented musician a venue; they also help promote future artist via their annual check presentation which is given to local artists.
As the Jazz Series once again comes to a close the public got a glimpse into the future and the two winners of this year’s award played for the crowd who for lack of a better word were proud. Our station has been a partner with the Jazz Series for years and as we say goodbye to another wonderful season we look forward to the next season.
