Pet Talk: Meet Tequila and Hemi
Are you looking for a furry companion to call your own? Tonight we meet a dog and a cat from the Imperial County animal shelter. Both were found as strays around Imperial and need a family to call their own.
First is Tequila. Funny name for a crazy boy. Tequila is full of life and energy. He has been at the shelter for a whopping year and a half. Whether it be his high energy or the fact that he doesn’t do great with other dogs, Tequila still hasn’t found his forever home. He is a beautiful brindle colored Pit bull estimated to be around 2 years old. While he does need someone that will keep up with his active lifestyle, he is a good listener and knows commands. A perfect dog to take hiking or to the lake and let run around in your backyard. Visit Tequila at the shelter today.
Next is Hemi. A gray and white cat with tons of personality. Hemi likes to roam around, explore and just look at you. He seems to do well with other cats so getting him adjusted to other felines shouldn’t be a problem. He is said to be about 3 years old and arrived at the shelter back in January.
If you are interested in either Tequila or Hemi, please call the Humane Society of Imperial County at (760) 352-1911. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. You can also email them at ivhumanesociety@gmail.com.
