GOYA foods donates 36,000 pounds of food

Goya Foods will donate 36,000 pounds of food to Feeding San Diego and the Imperial Valley Food Bank as part of the Goya Gives ‘Can Do’ campaign on Wednesday, March 21, at 8 a.m.

Goya will make this donation in the name of retailer partner Food 4 Less and their grand re-opening of their Calexico store.

The event will take place at Food 4 Less located at 109 W Birch St, Calexico, CA 92231.

The donation is also in part of the retailers Zero Hunger Zero Waste initiative which aligns with Goya’s and Feeding America’s efforts to help end hunger in our communities.

This is Goya’s first installment of the 1.5 million pounds of food (1.25 million meals) raised over the course of six months that will go to Feeding America and will be distributed to families and individuals throughout the United States.
