YRMC lifts flu-season restrictions

Following a significantly severe flu season, Yuma Regional Medical Center has officially lifted flu-season visitor restrictions.

People under the age of 16 are once again permitted in patient care and waiting areas at the hospital’s main campus, as well as the Outpatient Center and Cancer Center.

Visitor restrictions were implemented in early December to protect patients, families and staff from exposure to the flu virus.

“Every year, YRMC implements visitor restrictions during the flu season to help protect the health of our patients, their families and our staff members,” said Deborah Aders, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at YRMC.
