Jessie’s closet moves to Yuma

Jessie’s Closet Foster Care Resource Center, is now opening a new location in Yuma. The purpose of the organization is to provide clothing, diapers, and basic needs for foster care kids. Clint Augustyn, president of the organization and a pastor of Desert Grace, say’s the reason for the move was to be come more central for the foster care community and because there wasn’t enough space in their original location in a small room of their church in the Foothills.

Executive director Amy Medeiros has been assisting with the new move, setting up the store to look like a boutique. Jessie’s Closet in Yuma is located at 2301 S. Avenue A. Some of the items their looking to be donated for the store are kids uniforms, more diapers, and brand new underwear because as Clint say’s, ” No one should have to wear someone else’s underwear.”

The store is set to open their doors this weekend on Saturday March 10th at 9 a.m. Their regular store hours will be on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information on how you can donate visit http://www.jessiescloset.org/
