Farm workers recognized for their dedication to agriculture work

A handful of hard-working field workers were recognized for their dedication to the agriculture industry.

The labor of these workers was recognized by surprise lunches in the field and other acts of kindness.

The non-profit organization Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association, through the Labor of Love, showcases the workforce and thanks them for their hard work.

“I am grateful. It feels good to know that all of our hard work is being recognized, ” said worker Jose Pena.” We pour our hearts out here day in and day out to meet the demand.”

“Without the farm workers, the farm workers is what get’s our industry moving and going and so basically we can’t do it without the people. This is one way to recognize them and say thank you for what they’ve done for us,” said Doug Consaul regional senior AG manager.
