Looking ahead for The 2018 Southwest AG Summit

If you’ve wondered what grows in Yuma, the Southwest Agriculture Summit shows you what’s growing in your own backyard.

For over ten years the Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association and the Yuma County Farm Bureau, have partnered with Arizona Western College to present the latest in farming technology and the amount of passion and hard work behind the agriculture industry in Yuma. Yuma Fresh Vegetable President Steve Alameda goes into detail on how much work is behind our local AG industry.

“There’s a lot to understand what goes into these healthy products you consume, they don’t just appear at your local grocery store,” said Alameda. “There’s a lot that goes into it, they’re not only grown and packed but distributed throughout the county and in some cases, throughout the world.”

The three-day event is not only a way to see what’s growing in Yuma, but to network and build relationships with AG partners.
