Suspect accused of NFL player’s death to appear in court
The man charged in the suspected DUI death of an Indianapolis Colt’s linebacker and another man will be in court Wednesday.
According to police, the suspect, Manuel Orrego-Salva also known as Alex Cabrera Gonsales, is an undocumented immigrant. He was drunk Sunday when he ran into linebacker Edwin Jackson.
Investigators said the 26-year-old Colt’s player was standing outside with an UBER with the driver on the shoulder of the freeway when the suspect struck them both.
Gonsales will be facing federal charged for re-entering the country illegally after he was deported.
