Special message from performers that’ll be at the YPG 75th celebration

Here’s a special message from some of the guests who will be performing at the YPG 75th anniversary celebration.

YPG’s 75th anniversary is Saturday, February 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The musical entertainers include Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, the Manhattan Dolls and Yuma’s very own Downtime.

Kicking off the day’s performances are the Manhattan Dolls. They originated in New York City and travel the world performing for military events. The trio brings sound from the Andrew Sisters and 1940s swing music.

They are expected to perform at 11 a.m.

“Hi everyone, we’re the Manhattan Dolls and we’re so excited to get to meet you this Saturday in Yuma, Arizona,” The Manhattan Dolls told News 11. “We are so honored to get to perform for you at the Yuma Proving Ground, a place that always keeps our troops safe,” they said. “We’ll be singing for you around 11 o’clock a.m. We’ll see you there!”

Following them is Downtime, a popular, local band known for performing top 40s country and rock hits.

“Hello Yuma Arizona, Paul from Downtime coming at you. Het listen, want to take a quick second to invite you guys out, Saturday, February 3 at Yuma Proving Ground for the YPG 75th celebration, we’re taking the stage Saturday you do not want to miss it,” said Paul.

Downtime will be performing at 1 p.m.

And last but not least, they are hailed as one of the most exciting live acts on the road today, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers are musical beacons of the Southwest fueled by witty and insightful lyrics.

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will be performing at 4 p.m.

YCAT will be offering a shuttle service to and from YPG throughout the day. There will be a small fee of $2 per person. (children under 5 ride free).

The buses begin at 8 a.m.

– The YCAT Bus Hub at the old Del Sol Hotel
– The Foothills Branch of the Yuma County Library

*Guests must have current, legally recognized form of identification. No outside food and/or beverages. No coolers, backpacks, or other bags or packages (Clear bags will be available). No pets. No umbrellas. No alcohol, medicinal marijuana, or illegal drugs. No firearms, knives, or other weapons.
