Potterfest/Harry Potter Book Night
On Thursday, February 1st, the San Luis Library will join libraries, bookstores, and schools around the world for the 4th Annual Harry Potter Book Night! This exciting event gives new and existing fans a chance to share the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable stories and, most excitingly, to introduce the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter.

The fun begins Tuesday, January 30th, with a series of “Potterfest” events. All ages welcome! There is no charge to attend any event.
Tuesday, January 30 th
3PM – Harry Potter Movie Night
Enjoy film adaptations of the Harry Potter series.
4PM – Harry Potter Lego Club
Build Harry Potter characters and re-create scenes from the books using Legos.
5PM – Wizard Wands
Create the perfect wand to cast your spells!
Wednesday, January 31st
4PM – Wizard Crafts
Enjoy Harry Potter-themed crafts with supplies provided by the library.
Thursday, February 1st
4PM – Harry Potter Book Night
Join us for a celebration of the world of Harry Potter! Enjoy crafts, snacks, and games, and attend workshops to learn more about the care of magical creatures; spells, charms, and potions; and magic wands. Everyone is invited…even Muggles!

Harry Potter Reads Day
On Saturday, February 3rd, the Foothills Library will celebrate the 4th Annual Harry Potter Reads Day! This exciting event gives new and existing fans a chance to share the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable stories and, most excitingly, to introduce the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter.
Join us at 10:00 a.m. for a celebration of the world of Harry Potter! Enjoy wizard shops, crafts, trivia, and games. Please wear wizarding robes, Harry Potter fancy dress, or your best muggle attire.
There is no charge to attend, but you must pre-register to get a handmade wand. Call Chris Coolman at (928) 342-1640 or visit the Foothills Library to register!
