Minivan versus farm tractor collision reported at Avenue F and County 14th

The Somerton Cocopah Fire Department responded to Avenue F and County 14th Street for a vehicle versus farm tractor collision at 4:56 p.m.

SCFD personal found a Dodge Journey minivan that had collided with a John Deere 8270R tractor that was hauling a disc harrow.

The Journey had moderate damage and the only occupant was a 40-year-old female that was complaining of back pain and right shoulder pain. She was transported in stable condition to YRMC for further evaluation.

The driver of the tractor was not injured and refused medical treated at the scene.

The driver of the Journey stated that she was driving east on County 14th Street behind the tractor and as she was going to pass the tractor, the tractor made a left turn north on Avenue F and the Journey collided with the tractor and disc harrow.

The Yuma County Sheriff Office is investigating the accident.
