Battle of the words at 2018 District 32 Spelling Bee

There are over 100,000 words in the English dictionary and today 4th-8th graders of the Gadsden Elementary School District #32 competed in the 2018 Spelling Bee for a county spot. Each school will take their top places speller to the Yuma County Spelling Bee.

The speller deemed winner today at the Gadsden Elementary School District 32 spelling bee was a 7th grade Southwest Junior High boy named, Sergio Moreno. He says he studied all the words given to him for two months straight, three hours everyday. His focus was to be number one and that he achieved today.

The Yuma County Spelling Bee Competition is on Thursday, February 27th at 10am at Arizona Western College, Schoening Conference Room.
