Yuma Police investigate home invasion, armed robbery

A residence was the target of a home invasion and armed robbery Friday night when a suspect made their way inside a home.

Yuma Police are still looking for the suspect.

It happened around 11:00 p.m. in the 600 Block of S. 20th Avenue, police officials said.

According to police, the suspect forced their way into a home, displaying a knife and demanding money. The suspect fled when the victim in the home stated they were going to call police.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. No money or property was reported taken.

The suspect was last seen running westbound on 6th Street. He is described as a Hispanic man, around 5’8″, with an average build, wearing a gray flannel with a blue bandana over his face.

This case is still under investigation.
