Police activity on 46th Drive and 16th Lane

The Yuma Police Department responded to a disturbance near the intersection of 46th Drive and 16th lane Friday afternoon.

When authorities arrived, both sides of the residential block were blocked and assault weapons were deployed.

Witness reports vary but center around the possibility of a firearm being discharged.

The scene has been cleared.

According to YPD the source of the shots fired was unfounded.
