Nogales Border Patrol agents arrest convicted sex offender
Border Patrol agents arrested Jose Rivera-Fuentes, a previously deported 40-year-old Mexican national, for illegally crossing the border in Nogales, Ariz. Saturday night.
Agents conducted a records check that revealed Rivera-Fuentes’s 1998 conviction in Orlando, Fla. for sexually fondling a minor.
Rivera is now in federal custody pending prosecution for criminal immigration violations.
