Interstate 8 traffic switch scheduled between Ogilby Road and SR 186
There will be traffic switches on Interstate 8 scheduled for approximately seven miles just west of the Ogilby Road overcrossing to the west of Algodones Road/State Route 186 (SR 186).
Westbound traffic reduced to a single lane beginning Thursday, Dec. 21st. and switched to the westbound lanes.
On Friday, Jan. 5th, 2018, eastbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane and switched to the westbound lanes. Both travel directions will be divided by k-rail on the Interstate 8 westbound lanes and will be in place for approximately four months.
Westbound on- and off-ramps at Ogilby Road (Exit 159) will remain closed to traffic.
Drivers may access eastbound I-8 from Ogilby Road and exit Sidewinder Road to access westbound I-8. Drivers can also reach the westbound Interstate 8 past Ogilby Road and exit at Grays Well Road and access eastbound I-8 to Ogilby Road.
A five-mile section of I-8 from about one-half mile west of State Route 111 to one-half mile east of Barbara Worth Drive continues to be reduced to one lane in each direction for Segment 4 work.
