When deputies arrived they met with the reporting party that said that they had seen a white semi-truck with a lowboy trailer loading up two farm tractors on Nov. 25th at approximately 10:00 a.m., however; did not report them stolen.

The reporting party believed that they had been mistakenly taken by another company and waited to make a report to see if they would return the tractors.

Deputies responded to the area of County 17th Street and Avenue I on Monday, Dec 4th to a theft of a 2013 blue New Holland T6120 tractor and a 25′ chain driven Denair trailer. The tractor and trailer were taken from the area between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public that reporting criminal and suspicious activity immediately significantly improves the chances of a suspect being located and apprehended.

First responders will immediately attempt to locate anyone who is reported to be acting suspiciously or involved in criminal activity. All farmers are warned to take precaution with the current thefts in the area.
