Pet Talk: Meet Puppy and Emerald

Tonight we introduce you to a senior dog named Puppy and a beautiful green eyed-cat named Emerald.

First up is Emerald. An adult yet very small tabby cat. Her fur can make her seem larger than she actually is. Emerald is a sweet cat that is longing to meet the right family to take her home. She enjoys being held and enjoys human interaction. Not the biggest fan of toys, Emerald prefers to just lounge and stare at you. She was found as a stray in Yuma and has been at the shelter for a little over a month.

Next up is Puppy, a senior lab Pit bull mix. His age is unknown, but he has plenty of energy to live up to his name. Puppy loves to run around and go for daily walks. His motivation, food! He loves his treats. He is tolerant of other dogs, but he does best with calmer canines as he has to be the one with the energy. He also would do best with a family with older children that will respect his boundaries. Puppy weighs 44 pounds but could stand to put on some weight. He is also is neutered and ready to meet you.

If you are interested either Emerald or Puppy, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday and for more information you can head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page @MADISONKYMA
