Pet Talk: Meet “Chief” & “Leona”
It’s Pet talk time! Meet Chief, an American pit bull mix and Leona a domestic short-haired cat.
First is, Leona. An orange and white cat. She is a friendly feline, who enjoys playing around, hiding in corners and getting treats. She is a people person, so don’t be surprised if she starts following you around. She enjoys being held and also seems to get along with other cats. She is spayed and has been at the shelter since September. 70 days and counting to be exact.
Next we have Chief. An older pit bull mix. He’s a great dog with a lot of energy still left in him. While he can be stubborn, he is treat motivated! His previous owner says that he doesn’t like to be home alone, so the perfect companion for Chief would be someone who is retired or home most of the day. He does well with other dogs, they just have to be on the calmer side and the same goes with children. Chief is neutered and waiting to meet you. His adoption fee is free this holiday season!
If you are interested either Leona or Chief, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday. For more information you can head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page @Madisonkyma.
