Woman ends up in hospital surgery room after getting pedicure

A woman was hospitalized after getting a pedicure in Florida.

Hours after Tara Batista left Nail Image in Tampa, she began to feel weak with severe leg pain. Her foot eventually turned black and she could not stand on her leg. She was taken to the hospital where doctors said she had a severe bacterial infection and required surgery. Medical records showed that the injury started from her left big toe. Batista now has a catheter in her leg and will need a home care nurse to live with her for the next six weeks.

The nail salon claims there was no proof that Batista got the infection from them, however Batista said the lady who gave her a pedicure dug way too far in her skin and she had to tell her to ease up on her foot at the time.
