The country is yet again at odds after two women began accusing President Donald J. Trump of being insensitive when he called a widow of a fallen soldier. According to the women who were present during the call the president was overheard telling Myeshia Johnson, “He knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurts.”

According to one of the women, Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, Myeshia had just left her husband’s casket as it arrived from overseas. After the call with the president, Wilson said Myeshia was distraught and said that the president didn’t even know her husband’s name. Her husband was one of four soldiers killed last week in Niger.

President Trump took to social media to denounce Wilson’s claims. President Trump told reporters that the call was pleasant in nature. Americans voiced their concerns regarding the accusations; some feel that what the president said was taken out of context. While others feel this is just another example of the president’s inexperience.
