Topic of the Day: Boy Scouts may soon be co-ed

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

For decades the Boy Scouts of America has been one of the most exclusive clubs in the country. Known for teaching boys the art of survival along with strengthening their core beliefs and helping them build a strong moral code. Many scouts have moved on to become Eagle Scouts and in turn become captains of industry, astronauts and even president.

Now, the club is looking to offer its teachings to all of the country’s youth; after decades of debates girls may now have the opportunity to join the club. Presently, the Boy Scouts of America has roughly 2.3 million members ages 7 to 21 along with close to a million volunteers. No word yet if the name of the club will be changed.
