Not so oldie… but still a goodie
If you live in Yuma County you’ve already hit those ‘must see’ places like the Territorial Prison and the Quartermaster’s Depot. But, if you haven’t visited the Yuma International Airport recently or ever, you may just want to add it to your list.
In the past few years the airport has been transformed from a subtle but cold terminal to a vibrant experience. Airport staff have gone above and beyond to make everyone’s visit, one to remember. From aviation artifacts, to Yuma’s past placed for all to see. More recently, the airport has opened it’s doors to local eateries and the latest addition will have many people seeing double.
The Gapp Family who own the popular Brewers Restaurant and Sports Bar have taken on a new challenge. They’ve opened a second location inside the Yuma International Airport; well technically speaking they’ve actually opened two locations inside the airport. Aside from offering the same energetic service one has come to expect from Brewers the newest addition has something you won’t find anywhere else.
Whether you favor their hot wings, cheese steaks or pizza Brewers has added their SkyBox which rests on the second floor overlooking the flight line. It’s no secret that the Yuma International Airport shares their runways with Marine Corps. Air Station Yuma which means whether you’re a fan of modern avionics or enjoy watching what our military’s elite are doing the view is icing on the cake or in this case ranch on the wing.
Along with their SkyBox the restaurant is expanding their delivery services; deliveries can be made as far east as Avenue 9E. Just in case you’re wondering, they validate parking.
