PET TALK: Meet “Ginger” and “Maluma”
Happy Monday. In tonight’s Pet Talk we meet an orange cat named Ginger and pitbull mix named Maluma.
First up is Ginger, a domestic short hair who was brought to the Humane society because of his owners allergies. His age is unknown but he is an adult cat weighing about 11 pounds. Not a big fan of being held, Ginger enjoys playing with toys and being fed. He seems to like other cats, but would do just fine with being the only animal in the home. It takes some time for him to warm up to you, but once he does, consider him attached. He is neutered and has been at the shelter since the beginning of August.
Next we have, Maluma. A charcoal gray pitbull mix that weighs around 68 pounds. It’s a possibility he may be mixed with some mastiff because his head is massive. A true lover of people, Maluma loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. He isn’t super active although he does enjoy walks and leisurely runs around the yard. He is treat motivated so if you want him to do anything, food is the answer. Maluma enjoys playing with other dogs, but it’s best he lives in a home with female dogs only, preferably ones that are smaller in size. He was found by the Quechan tribe and is just waiting for that special person to adopt him for he has been at the shelter since July.
If you are interested either Ginger or Maluma, you can call the humane society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday.
