United Way of Yuma needs volunteers for vision screening program

The United Way of Yuma is bringing the VisionQuest 20/20 program to Yuma School District One and they are in need of volunteers.

VisionQuest 20/20 is a new and free health initiative that will have Yuma as the nationwide pilot for vision screening.

The state of Arizona currently does not mandate any vision screening for children.

The program is currently in the screening stage and is seeking volunteers for this program. Those interested in volunteering do not need any formal medical training.

The next vision screening will be held at Woodard School on Thursday, Sept. 21st.
