Advanced Social Media Marketing

In July and August 2017, the Yuma Main Library, in collaboration with Vanessa Castillo, will host a Summer Business Series at the Main Library. Aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and students are invited to attend workshops focusing on business plans, marketing, and social media.

Vanessa Castillo, local small business consultant and digital marketing expert, will present “Advanced Social Media Marketing” on Friday, August 11th, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A. Learn how to create great content and ads, and how to interpret analytics.

Sun Party! Solar Viewing on the Patio

On Saturday, August 12th, the Foothills Library is hosting “Sun Party: Solar Viewing on the Patio” from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. View the sun through the library’s solar telescope, and look through telescopes that have solar filters to observe sun spots. Participants can also learn more about the August 21st solar eclipse, and receive a free pair of viewing glasses courtesy of STAR_NET (while supplies last). There is no charge to attend.

Paint the Sun

On Saturday, August 12 th , children of all ages are invited to “Paint the Sun” at 1:00 p.m. at the Foothills Library. View the sun through our solar telescope, then paint your own picture of the sun! Attendees will receive a free pair of viewing glasses for the August 21st solar eclipse courtesy of STAR_NET (while supplies last). There is no charge to attend.
