PET TALK: Meet “Phoebe” & “Prancer”

In this last Monday of July, we’re bringing you a brand new Pet Talk. Meet a playful furry feline named Phoebe and a black and white spotted pointer named Prancer. First up is Phoebe, a large and in charge adult female cat. At first glance Phoebe looks huge, but it’s really just all that fur. Weighing in at about 10 pounds, she is a beautiful charcoal gray color with green eyes. She was found as a stray in Yuma and brought to the Humane Society in June. She’s playful, alert and super affectionate. Her age is unknown, but she is estimated to be around three years old and miraculously, she doesn’t shed that much with all that fur. Phoebe is already spayed and ready to be adopted. Next, we have Prancer and the name says it all. He weighs about 46 pounds and was also found as a stray in Yuma. It’s very surprising since he has such striking features. Prancer is an older fellow estimated to be around 9 years old, but that doesn’t stop him from playing around, fetching a ball and enjoying the outdoors. He’s great on a leash and loves his treats. He would do best in a home with older children that can be gentle with him. Prancer has been at the shelter since mid July. If you are interested in either Phoebe or Prancer, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Saturday.
