Operation Drive Safe: 5th Avenue
As per the Yuma Police Department, 5th Avenue has been designated this week’s targeted area for their Operation Drive Safe. Officers will be patrolling the area looking for drivers who speed, as well as those who fail to stop at stop signs, fail to signal and drivers who violate the new cell phone ordinance. Operation Drive Safe has resulted in hundreds of citation since being implemented.
