Sixth annual ‘Back to School Rodeo’ gets kids ready to learn

Saturday marked the sixth annual ‘Back to School Rodeo’ in Yuma. It’s the perfect way to get kids ready and excited for the upcoming school year.

Every year the City of Yuma rounds up resources to get students ready for school through interactive, informative presentations, displays and entertainment. Extracurricular and after school program representatives were present to share information and local schools also had representatives on hand to answer any questions.

The event featured free health and vision screenings, along with free arts and crafts, face painting and door prizes. The first 1,000 children in line received free backpacks filled with school supplies.

It’s the perfect way to get everyone back to school ready and of course, excited to learn.
