Orenthal James Simpson also known as O.J. Simpson and to his fans “The Juice” may soon walk the streets as a free man. On Thursday, Simpson will sit before a parole board and convince them that he can be a productive member of society. The conviction stems from his 2007 arrest after he and five other men robbed memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in Las Vegas.
During his trial Simpson argued that the memorabilia was his and that it had been stolen. Simpson was convicted and sentenced to 9 to 33 years in prison. One of the victims Bruce Fromong has planned to testify at the parole hearing on Simpson’s behalf.
The NFL Hall of Famer is best remembered for his 1995 murder trial where he was acquitted on criminal charges in Los Angeles in the 1994 slayings of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
