Victim involved in fatal shooting identified

Yuma police have identified the man that died in a shooting Sunday morning. YPD said the deceased victim has been identified as 20-year-old Leondre Richards. Officers said the female victim is 37-years-old and still receiving treatment in a Phoenix hospital.

At this time, two arrests have been made in reference to this case. The suspects are 21-year-old Juan Torres and a 17-year-old male. Both are being charged with 1st degree murder, burglary, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault entering the private home of another with the intent to commit the assault.

On Sunday at approximately 3:37 a.m., officers from the Yuma Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1600 block of West 8 th Street. Upon arrival, police located two people with gunshot wounds.

This case is still under investigation.
