ADOT Release “Vehicle Crash Facts”

According to the latest report from the Arizona Department of Transportation during 2016 there were 962 deaths related to motor vehicle accidents. In total the state saw 126,845 accidents across the state. Of those, 865 of them were fatal crashes. From 2015 to 2016 Arizona saw a 7.25% increase in fatal crashes; although an increase it’s no where near the 2006 fatal numbers which were 1,301 fatalities.

The report breaks down the number of crashes, injuries, fatalities and the cost to each county. If you’d like to see the complete report, you can log onto http://www.adot.gov.
