Scholarship fund created in memory of lost Yuman

Mark Allen was originally from Texas but grew up in Yuma; he studied at Arizona Western College One of his first jobs in the industry was working at KYMA-TV as a photographer. He soon ventured off and ended up in Tyler, Texas where he worked at another television station and where his wife works as a Professor of Journalism.

According to reports in Texas, Allen passed away in a motor vehicle accident some time in June. His family has since created a scholarship fund in his honor. Mark still has family in Yuma.
