MONDAY, JULY 3
Early Independence Day Celebration – 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Bring the entire family out to our annual Early Independence Celebration on Monday, July 3! Gates open at 6pm. at Paradise Casino.
TUESDAY, JULY 4
31st Annual Independence Day Flag Raising Ceremony – 7 A.M.
Come out to this free event and celebrate America’s Independence Day as we honor past and present military with the raising of the Stars and Stripes, patriotic music and special guest speakers at the Yuma Armed Forces Park in an early morning ceremony (7 a.m.)

4th of July All American BBQ & Fireworks Spectacular – 4 P.M. – 9 P.M.
The City of Yuma’s biggest 4th of July celebration lights up Desert Sun Stadium! This amazing family event will include picnic style food, pie eating contests, entertainment, fun water features, and of course for the grand finale….a fireworks display!
Bring a non-perishable food item to support the Yuma Community Food Bank. Entry fee is only $1.
4th of July Demolition Derby – 7 P.M.
Cocopah Speedway hosts the 5th Annual 4th of July Demolition Derby. Come see the carnage starting at 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. for match races, concessions and much more. Call 928-344-1563 for more information.
SAN LUIS ARIZONA’S JULY 4TH FREEDOM CELEBRATION – 6 P.M. – 12 A.M.
San Luis, Arizona’s July 4th Freedom Celebration promises to be the biggest and best ever.
It’s Tuesday, July 4 from 6 pm to midnight at Joe Orduño Park, 965 N. Park Avenue.
Admission is free.
Children will be entertained with the Kid’s Zone….with 16 different jumpers and water slides, mechanical bulls and a climbing wall. Kid’s Zone admission is $1 for all night/unlimited play Live music begins at about 7 pm and includes Band on the Bayou (a Creedence tribute band), The International Mighty Mushroom, Los Amantes de Lola and Los Chicos de 512. The fireworks display takes place between the last two bands…and starts with a salute to the military–the national anthem performed by celebrated trumpeter Hugo Franco.
Somerton Fourth of July Celebration – 7 P.M. – 11 P.M.
Come celebrate our Nations Independence Day at Council Ave Park (801 N. Council Ave) with a variety of food vendors and the opportunity to join our annual hotdog eating contest. During the evening sign-up to participate in our world record attempting water balloon fight as thousands of people toss thousands of balloons at each other to cool off. The night ends with the traditional fireworks show with patriotic music playing in the background.

Freedom Fest – 6 P.M. – 9 P.M.
Join the Imperial Chamber of Commerce, KXO Radio, and a number of other supporting agencies for this year’s Freedom Fest on July 4th. Event and concession begin at 6 PM, fireworks show begins at 9 PM. The community is invited to attend the largest single day event in the Imperial Valley, at Imperial Valley College.
