13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:
For decades U.S. Senator John McCain has represented the State of Arizona and on more than one occasion he’s been chosen to run for president. Senator McCain’s popularity stems from a history of devotion to the American way of life. His father and grandfather were both Admirals in the Navy and Senator McCain also served as a fighter pilot.
But, it’s not his military legacy that keeps the Senator in the limelight it’s his open views and independent mindset. His political bravado has earned him the nickname “Maverick” for his choice to go against his own party and most recently even questioning his commander in chief’s leadership.
During an interview with The Guardian, Senator McCain was asked about the country’s leadership and was quoted as saying, “As far as leadership is concerned, yes the U.S. was better off with Barack Obama as president”.
