Airport Director recognized for her committment to aviation

It’s that time of the year when the Arizona Airport Association’s members nominate their Executive of the Year; nominees are graded on their overall management capabilities, their efforts to promote aviation and their commitment to their communities.

This year, the Association has chosen Yuma International Airport Director Gladys Wiggins; Wiggins has been instrumental in strengthening the relationship between the airport and its surrounding community. Wiggins prides herself for providing travelers with an instant serving of Yuma comfort by means of artifacts and murals depicting the desert southwest.

When asked what drives her day in and day out Wiggins said that she looks forward to working each day and recommends anyone looking for a new career to find something that they love. She added that she was surprised by the nomination and win because she’s been doing what she loves and having fun while doing so.
