It’s nothing new to hear about a comedian pushing the envelope and leaning over the line of decency; but, one comedian may have ripped the envelope and may have crossed the line. Kathy Griffin’s comedy style is an acquired taste and over the years her antics have caused controversy and even cost Griffin work.
But, her latest stunt has caused a wave of ridicule after a picture of the comedian holding what appears to be the severed head of President Donald J. Trump was posted on social media. The backlash doesn’t stop at her fans, CNN has announced that Ms. Griffin will no longer be a host of their New Years Eve Show which she’s done since 2007.
President Trump was so affected by the picture that he responded in a tweet saying “Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”. Kathy Griffin has since released a public apology telling the world that she was sorry.
